What is consumed on the Atkins diet?

Foods that contain high levels of trans fat, too much glucose syrup, corn syrup and preservatives, and very salty foods are at the top of the banned list of this diet. Fats such as canola, corn, sunflower oil and margarine are at the second place in the list of those that are forbidden to be consumed in the diet. The carbohydrates that are not allowed to be eaten; wheat, lentils, dried beans, chickpeas, rice and whole grain breads. Cakes, cookies, donuts are absent here as in many diets. High sugar fruits such as bananas, apples and figs, vegetables such as potatoes and carrots are also not consumed.

Red meat, white meat and fish are among the most delicious foods to eat. You can also consume foods such as sausage and smoked turkey. Then, you can consume foods containing healthy fats such as cheese, yoghurt, quark, whole milk and dairy products, avocado, coconut oil, raw almonds, hazelnuts and peanuts. You can eat lots of vegetables. Artichokes, leeks, beans, zucchini, eggplant, cucumber, broccoli, spinach, tomato and asparagus are among the vegetables that will be your best friend in this diet.

Breakfast: Eggs + tomatoes cooked in olive oil or healthy oil

Lunch: Low-fat salad with 150 grams of chicken + yogurt
